More than ten thousand children visit throughout the academic year, either through their educational centres, or independently. Special interest is placed on all issues relating to Interculturality, since La Casa Encendida is located on the outskirts of the Lavapiés neighbourhood, which is known for the diversity of nationalities and cultures living together there. Many of the children who attend are sons and daughters of immigrants, which is why efforts are made to provide an added service of sociocultural integration.

It is in the library area in which most of the activities are organised. Children deserve special attention to promote reading and our dynamics complement the formal and family education that the children receive in other more organised settings.

Open from Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8.30 pm.
