Emergencies is a meeting point for creative artists from the various cultural areas, a place to exchange ideas, a space to be able to present their works to the public. It is intended for young people up to the age of 35. There are two sessions of Emergencies in the course of the year, one in June and another in December.
Artists in Residence is a joint programme of La Casa Encendida and the University of Alcalá, through Estrella Casero Dance School, which aims to support creative innovation in the field of dance, by providing artists with space in which to experiment and to present their ideas.
International Festival of Television on Urban Life and Ecology.
The aim of this international festival is to present documentaries and reports on the life and ecology of our cities, in order to promote the use of television as an environmental education tool, as well as to stimulate debate on the subject.
Miradas 2, a cultural programme of Televisión Española, in collaboration with La Casa Encendida, presents an audiovisual challenge: to tell a story, using all the resources of digital art, in not more than ten seconds.
Radio Nacional de España (Spanish National Radio) and the Obra Social Caja Madrid have together launched the RadioTeatro project in La Casa Encendida. It aims to breathe new life into radio drama as a genre, promote new radio playwrights, and foster interest in theatre as a whole.
The initiative also includes an annual award for radio drama scripts by novice writers.
