Martin Messier creates sounds using the electromagnetic fields around us. These residual, undetectable electrical impulses are picked up by microphones, the generators of the performance.
On stage, Messier plays with two patch panels that connect various inputs and outputs. His constant plugging and unplugging action produces compositions of light and sound. In FIELD, Messier materialises this otherwise inaudible and invisible flow of power.
