FAQs about cancellations

In accordance with the recommendations and measures adopted by the Government of Spain, the Regional Government of Madrid and Madrid City Council, La Casa Encendida has decided that the most prudent course of action is to cancel all public activities from 11 March until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Meanwhile, we will continue working to resume our activities as soon as the situation permits and the authorities deem it advisable.

  • What happens if I signed up for a course or workshop at La Casa Encendida that was supposed to begin soon and has now been cancelled?

If the activity hadn’t already begun, you will immediately be refunded by the same method you used to pay. If you purchased a course online, the amount will be refunded to your account within a few days. If you paid in person, you’ll need to request a refund at our Information Desk as soon as La Casa Encendida reopens.

If we are able to reschedule the course or workshop, you’ll be the first to know about it by email, and we’ll announce it on our website and social media.

  • I bought tickets for a show that’s been cancelled. What should I do?

If you purchased a ticket online, the amount will automatically be refunded to your account within a few days. If you purchased a ticket at La Casa Encendida, please visit us as soon as we reopen and show your ticket to receive an immediate refund.

If we are able to reschedule the same show, we will announce it via email and on our website and social media.

  • My course started days/weeks/months ago but has now been cancelled. Will the sessions resume?

La Casa Encendida will resume course and workshop sessions as soon as it is advisable to do. We’ll contact you by email to inform you of the new dates.

  • I borrowed a book from the library at La Casa Encendida and it’s due for return soon. What should I do?

You can return any items borrowed from the library when La Casa Encendida reopens. If the due date is after 10 March, naturally there will be no late fees or penalties.

  • I have other questions not addressed here, what can I do?

You can reach us Monday to Sunday, from 10 am to 10 pm, by calling +34 91 506 21 80, visiting our website and social media, or sending a direct message.

We’ll keep you updated on the latest news via these same channels.
