FILMADRID 2018

From 09 to 15 June 2018

La Casa Encendida
Ronda de Valencia, 2
Madrid
28012
Spain

Screening of the Avant-garde Section of FILMADRID, the international film festival that explores the novel, uncharted paths of contemporary cinema, and of the cycle dedicated to Israeli director Raquel Chalfi.

From 9 to 15 June, the fourth FILMADRID Festival will bring its Avant-garde competition to La Casa Encendida, premiering a number of feature-length and short films in Madrid. The programme also includes a special section devoted to the poet and filmmaker Raquel Chalfi (Tel Aviv, 1939), an unusual representative of 1980s feminism and one of the most fascinating and least-known names in Middle Eastern cinema.

FILMADRID, the International Film Festival, was born of a determination to guide Madrid audiences down the most novel roads in the contemporary cinematographic landscape, promoting the work of promising young directors and legendary masters. This international event is open to fiction and non-fiction films produced anywhere in the world, regardless of format.

All films are screened in their original language with Spanish subtitles (when necessary).

Organised by: Paisajes de Cine, a cultural association for the dissemination of international film in Madrid.
