11th edition of this cycle of documentaries and debates on the topic of education for development.
These sessions of documentary films and talks attempt to offer a global perspective on development processes. Madrid’s international cooperation NGOs have decades of experience in improving the lives of thousands of people across the globe and providing an outlet for the solidarity and social conscience of ordinary citizens. The challenges we face today are global, as we shall see in these three sessions that will transport us to the mining regions of Mozambique, a gymnasium in Afghanistan and a school in the Sahrawi refugee camps of Algeria.
The human rights violations suffered by the people in these films are not unfamiliar to us: overexploited resources and environmental damage, gender inequality and insufficient means to meet the special needs of persons with disabilities. Therefore, we at the Madrid Development NGO Network are committed to raising awareness of the global problems that affect all societies. The solutions should also be global, based on a model of sustainable development that respects all human lives and the planet.
