With his bare hands and two wooden eyes, Lejo has created a refreshingly unique style of puppet theatre. Play for children from age 4.
Hands Up! presents a string of lovable characters and the crazy, amusing things they get up to. There’s a boisterous dog, a lazy musician, a hyperactive pianist, and many more. Short sketches with a soundtrack ranging from classical music to house.
Lejo is the stage name of Leo Petersen, a Danish puppeteer who has been performing and making short films with his puppets since 1995. What started out as a school project evolved into an act that he has toured all over the world. His puppets have been shown daily on the Dutch version of Sesame Street since 2002.
The handout for teachers contains general information about Lejo and the show as well as ideas for assignments and games.
Recommended age: + 4 years.
