Second edition of Book Friends, the art and creativity festival for children
Book Friends, the children's festival of books, art and creativity, returns from 28 to 30 December. At this second edition, we'll present specialised publishers and the most innovative and original publications at Quisco, our special kiosk set up in the courtyard. The words will leap off the pages and come to life in different activities, accompanied by workshops, shows and experimental projects designed especially for the younger set.
Book Friends features the latest in children's publishing and showcases the wide variety of content and approaches being offered today. The full programme of events aims to stimulate creativity through reading, games, installations, music and workshops designed just for kids.
Principia Kids, the first Spanish-language science magazine in print for kids; ¡La Leche!, an illustrated cultural journalism magazine; Kiwi, a periodical centred on challenging, stimulating words and images; Corraini, a publishing house known for its emphasis on graphics; Fulgencio Pimentel and the artistic angle of their books; Wonder Ponder, different children's literature that poses philosophical questions to learn how to think; Milimbo, with their books for playing and games for reading; Silonia, a small publishing house that prints highly illustrated books; Mamut, specialised in children's comics; and the puzzles magazine Mini Cosmos: Periódico intergaláctico para niños terrícolas, created especially for the occasion by illustration students from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED).
