Quiosco features the most innovative and original publications for young readers. In some cases, the words will leap off the pages and come to life in different activities
Set up in the courtyard of La Casa Encendida, Quiosco—a project devised by Libros Mutantes, the Madrid Art Book Fair—will hold its first junior edition. During the three days that the festival lasts, this unusual “kiosk” will present different children's books and offer various activities related to their content.
Principia Kids, the first Spanish-language science magazine in print for kids; ¡La Leche!, an illustrated cultural journalism magazine; Kiwi, a periodical centred on challenging, stimulating words and images; Corraini, publishers known for their emphasis on graphics; Fulgencio Pimentel and the artistic angle of their books; Wonder Ponder, different children's literature that poses philosophical questions to learn how to think; Milimbo, with their books for playing and games for reading; Silonia, a small publishing house that prints highly illustrated books; Mamut, specialised in children's comics; and the puzzles magazine Mini Cosmos: Periódico intergaláctico para niños terrícolas, created especially for the occasion by illustration students from the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED).
