Changing Our World: Ideas for New Times

It’s not coming, it’s already here. Alarm bells are sounding across the globe. We are witnessing the worst environmental crisis in history. Official rhetoric stubbornly insists on global responsibility, thereby quashing any sense of personal obligation: if the whole world is responsible, no one can be held accountable.

What are the false myths behind climate change? What is the extent of political and civic responsibility? What opportunities do we have to do an about-face and minimise the worst consequences? The power to act is in our hands. We’ll give you some pointers.

Participants:

  • Mar Asunción Higueras, Head of Climate & Energy Practice, WWF Spain
  • Miriam García-Torres, Ecologistas en Acción [Ecologists in Action]. Author of the book El IBEX 35 en guerra contra la vida
  • Cote Romero, Ecooo coordinator

Coordinated by: NGDO Coordination Group - Spain

Activities Cycle Changing Our World: Ideas for New Times From 01 March to 12 December 2018 Open/close cycle
