SEO/BirdLife and La Casa Encendida are pleased to present the fifth edition of the documentary film cycle "Birders", featuring four new documentaries that take a look at birdwatching today, around the world.
On this occasion the scenes on the screen will revolve around four species—albatrosses, penguins, monkey-eating eagles and kingfishers—as well as many other related species. Each documentary tells true stories of survival in the face of environmental issues such as the invasion of plastics and the loss of habitats, while also focusing on extraordinary biological behaviours narrated through stunning images.
The Antarctic, the Midway Islands and the Philippines are just some of the settings for the action that unfolds in Albatross, by Chris Jordan; March of the Penguins 2: The Next Step, by Luc Jacquet; Bird of Prey, by Eric Liner, and Returning: Kingfisher, by Cees van Kempen.
Numerous naturalists and birdwatchers attended the four previous editions of this cultural gathering aimed at providing the general public with a glimpse into the world of birds and their conservation, not only through the selected documentaries but also through discussions with experts after the screenings.
Price: €3 per screening
