Teaming up with SEO/BirdLife for the seventh year, Pajareros [Birders] returns with a new selection of documentaries devoted to birds and the human professionals or amateurs who spend part of their lives studying and protecting them.
This fascination with birds that some people experience is rooted in the eternal human desire to fly. We begin this year’s cycle with a sneak preview of Dehesa, el bosque del lince ibérico [Dehesa, Forest of the Iberian Lynx], which takes us on a journey through a unique forest, a homely place where long-distance travellers spend the winter. We also journey to Oceania, whose tropical forests are home to the birds-of-paradise, and we accompany a group of conservationists on an expedition to discover why we have lost nearly half of the Bewick's swan population over the last two decades.
The cycle offers some truly spectacular images, so be sure to catch every documentary.
The screenings will be followed by a debate with experts on the various topics featured.
