Women are leading the biggest and most ambitious social transformation the world has ever seen, attested by their progress in the arena of human rights, their occupation of decision-making spheres, and their global subversion of the subordinate position to which they have been relegated for centuries.
However, this revolution is being resisted on countless fronts, inevitably accompanied by violence in all its forms and levels of intensity. Faced with these scenarios of social and legal impunity, prominent leaders in different countries across the globe are raising their voices to assess and denounce, from multiple angles, the underlying causes of gender-based subordination and discrimination. Breaking the imposed vow of silence is always the first step towards a world of greater justice.
