Metamorphosis: Fantasy Visions in Starewitch, Švankmajer and [...]

Presentation and tour of the work and references of the filmmakers Ladislaw Starewitch, Jan Švankmajer and the Quay brothers, to trace the lines of intersection and confluence between their imaginaries. Although these are three very personal universes with enormous richness and nuances, they sometimes share an atmosphere, or some references, or a sinister, surreal, humorous poetics, in which the fairy tale, the cabinet of curiosities, the Renaissance science, illusionism, humor and a certain intellectual, aesthetic and literary legacy originating in Eastern Europe.
