Verbos encendidos #1: Escuchar
Verbos Encendidos (Lit Verbs) is an invitation to address some of the most pressing issues in contemporary society, from a thematic perspective and from multiple locations. In 2025, the verb suggested to structure much of the programme is “Listen”.
Listening aims to be a call for collective action to promote attentive listening at a time of widespread fragmentation and misunderstanding, enabling us to find common ground and overcome differences.
The theme of listening can also be addressed by different areas of programming, illustrating the cross-cutting nature of La Casa Encendida. The activities are spread throughout the year, with different types and themes, naturally incorporating or complementing existing programming spaces. Finally, this proposal aims to listen to the centre's users and offer them, the people who regularly visit us, the opportunity to suggest the next verb to be declined in 2026.
