The Spanish improvisation association Musicalibre ends its run (1995-2018) with this farewell concert by the ensemble of free improvisers born under its wing: the FOCO Orchestra.

The association organised 19 editions of the Hurta Cordel International Improvisation Festival, which from the 7th (2003) to the last (2015) were held at La Casa Encendida. The FOCO Orchestra has performed under the baton of Butch Morris, Wolfgang Fuchs, Peter Kowald, Dave Tucker, Steve Beresford, Roland Ramanan, Olivier Benoit, Walter Thompson, Didrik Ingvaldsen, William Parker, Keith Tippett, Ilan Volkov, Fred Frith, Maggie Nicols, Terry Day, Agustí Fernández, Llorenç Barber and other gifted musicians. Many of the orchestra players and association members will remain active in the world of free improvisation, promoting and disseminating their shared experience and presenting a wide range of new initiatives on the Spanish and international stage.
David Leahy is a double bass player and dancer based in Kent (United Kingdom), specialised in free improvisation in music and contact improvisation in dance.
