Exhibitions

The exhibition Globalisation and Fractures attempts to introduce us to the basic concepts of the globalisation process our planet is currently experiencing. The show aims to offer a rigorous yet comprehensible analysis of its causes and social and environmental consequences, raising public awareness of the advantages and dangers that globalisation entails.

The exhibition is divided into two thematic sections: "Environmental Harm" (metropolitanisation, environmental disasters, health as a global public asset, etc.) and "Technological Progress and Social Fractures" (disparity in the distribution of wealth and consumption, malnutrition, migration flows, etc.). It proposes possible solutions based on the Millennium Development Goals, the Human Development Index and official development assistance. Prestigious individuals of the stature of John Berger, Tahar Ben Jelloun, Ernesto Cardenal, Jean Ziegler, Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Eduardo Galeano, Aminata Traoré, Sami Naïr, Ariel Dorfman, Riccardo Petrella, Susan George and Ignacio Ramonet have contributed to both the exhibition and its catalogue, sharing their personal views on the constantly changing reality of our finite planet.
