Landscape has traditionally been the genre used to represent human space, both real and imagined, natural and constructed: a genre so bound up in classical tradition that, in recent years, it has become one of the most fertile fields of research in contemporary art. The exhibition Landscape and Memory features a selection of these new ways of interpreting the landscape, presented by photographers, video artists and filmmakers since the 1960s to the present day, offering spectators a disparate yet unified vision.

Participating artists include Rodney Graham, Thomas Struth, Jeff Wall, Jon Mikel Euba, Thomas Ruff, Sam Taylor-Wood, Fischli & Weiss, Alfredo Jaar, Gabriel Orozco, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Félix González-Torres, Thomas Demand, Bernd & Hilla Becher, Bleda & Rosa, Oliver Boberg, Rosemary Laing, Ana Mendieta, Marina Abramović, Bibi Calderaro, Seifollah Samadian, Rivane Neuenschwander & Cao Guimãraes, Alberto García-Alix, Robert Smithson and Nancy Holt, Anri Sala, Tony Oursler, María Friberg, Damián Ortega, Bruce Nauman, Doug Aitken, Tacita Dean, Montserrat Soto, Haluk Akakçe and Mireya Masó.
