The exhibition dedicated to French filmmaker Pierre Coulibeuf (b. Elbeuf, 1949) reflects the search for the cinematographic image through other disciplines. Coulibeuf produced film versions of fiction inspired by the universes of other artists, such as Marina Abramović, Jan Fabre and Pierre Klossowski. In the exhibition Somewhere in Between, La Casa Encendida presents a selection of his films alongside three video installations: A Magnetic Space (based on Lugares comunes by Canadian choreographer Benoît Lachambre), Delectatio Morosa (a tribute to Pierre Klossowski) and Somewhere in Between (an experimental film portrait that translates the imagery of choreographer Meg Stuart into fiction). In this show the French artist juxtaposes two paradigms, the city and nature, which dictate the different positions and attitudes of the characters.
