Acento 2022
New edition of the festival related to Artists in Residence, the joint initiative of La Casa Encendida and MACBA, Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, that supports performative approaches to body-centred creation and research.
Some of the projects undertaken in 2021 will be on display for three days, simultaneously generating a dialogue with the artists from the 2022 edition.
During the festival, the two institutions put the accent on reflection as an integral part of artistic research through the body, understood as a social body or political construct that produces different forms of knowledge from the realm of sensitivity.
The artists selected in 2021 were:
Blanca Ulloa with Heaven Unstuck, Raquel G. Ibañez + Ylia with How to disappear, Renan Araujo and Julia Coelho with Öyvind Fahlström Títeres Show, Sofia Asencio with Noche Cañón, Sonia Noya and Eduard Mont de Palol with La Dernière Mode, and Unbaptised Infants (Hannah Parson and Lorea Burge) with RITUAL.
