Film series: "The Voice of the Voiceless 2019"

The 12th edition of "The Voice of the Voiceless" film series on health and global development shines a spotlight on the right to a healthy life within the context of Sustainable Development Goal 3 on the 2030 Agenda.
Recent decades have seen a worldwide increase in life expectancy and a reduction in some of the most common causes of death related to child and maternal health. There have also been improvements in the access to clean water and sanitation, while the incidence of malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS has fallen. However, other epidemics and practices with a particular impact on women's health continue to challenge the resistance strategies of communities and peoples all over the world. This documentary film series celebrates the development processes and struggles of the collectives that are actively supported by Madrid-based development NGOs.
