"Sous les pavés, la plage" is a slogan from the May ‘68 protest movement, when the search for a beach under the paving stones became a metaphor for the European revolutionary spirit. The outbreak of the Arab Spring uprisings put the saying back into circulation, before the shadow of war descended on those countries and corpses began washing up on Europe’s shores.
The performance on Saturday 15 will be followed by a discussion with the audience.
