Historia de España contada a las niñas

11 Oct 2018

It is the winning work of the Puchi Award 2018 and is co-edited by La Casa Encendida and Fulgencio Pimentel.

Between journalistic chronicle, pamphlet, peasant drama and newsstand literature, Historia de España contada a las niñas appropriates events and places from our recent history and returns them to us in the form of a corrosive, polyphonic and vibrant. Kidnappings, Rohypnol, matriarchies, distraught gallery owners, online communities of anorexic teenagers and UFO apparitions give shape to a choral novel made of scraps, a ruthless story that, despite everything, exudes a constant desire for redemption. María Bastarós (Zaragoza, 1987). Cultural manager, art historian, lecturer, writer and fanzine. Creator of the feminist cultural platform QuéCoñoEs, she has collaborated with media such as Diagonal or Tentaciones, centers such as the CAAM in Las Palmas, the Valencian Muvim or the Madrid gallery Ahora Nadie Nada No, and curated exhibitions such as Death to the Great Stories or Appropriationism, Dissidence and sabotage in the Juana Francés Room in Zaragoza. She is co-author of Inclusive Love (Thyssen Bornemisza), the first LGTBIQ guided tour nationwide, and the book Herstory (Lumen).
