Inéditos 2019

7 Jun 2019

One more year we present Inéditos, our call for young curators. The three winning projects that we present at La Casa Encendida bring us closer to the current artistic panorama in very different ways.

The first of them, curated by Lorenzo García-Andrade and titled La Pista, proposes incorporating the function of a sports center into a cultural center through the construction of a paddle tennis court within Room A, which is presented as the possibility of a space for uncertainty. The second award-winning exhibition, Viral Identities, curated by Inés Muñozcano, presents works by four artists whose work reacts to the hegemonic landscape of the Internet and reveals its internal gaps while using its platforms to produce and disseminate content with a cultural impact. Finally, Sergi Álvarez Riosalido's project, A savage love that ruins our peace, is a curatorial proposal that investigates the possibilities of introducing into artistic practice what the capitalist discourse rejects at all times and that the psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan named as “ the things of love”, a certain love that can emerge as the destabilizer of a “prevailing totalitarianism”.
