Inéditos 2021

The two winning projects of this edition have been selected by a jury made up of Elvira Dyangani Ose, director of The Showroom (London); Álvaro Rodríquez Fominaya, artistic director of C3A (Córdoba); and Sergio Rubira, independent curator.

The first of them, titled Contemplate an unstable surface and curated by Ignacio de Antonio Antón (Madrid, 1985) and Julián Pacomio (Mérida, 1986) is a proposal where expanded practices of choreography, performance, film and the visual arts come together. It is also an unstable horizon, a flow of current and circulation, where the choreographic appears in the relationship with the pieces and with whoever visits the exhibition; The performative is located in the eyelid, in the inclination of the body when directing the gaze.

The second project, Past-presents for an affective context, curated by the Conjuntos Empáticos collective [Sálvora Feliz (Ourense, 1986), Marta Benito (Madrid, 1993), Noemí Díaz (Madrid, 1996)], presents architecture as a social situation , as a mediator or interface between cultural and social reality. From here it starts to propose an exhibition situation in which a series of works are included that, in some way, were ahead of their time or the fleeting nature with which we live, automatically moving them to the past, almost as if they were obsolete before. having been concluded. And yet, given the context we have experienced in this last year, they can be recovered, showing us past solutions that are more present than ever.
