Presentation in Spain of her latest project, Black Dog, a disruptive noise performance with a powerful stage set that will transform the Patio at La Casa Encendida into a darkly oneiric soundscape with connections to musical theatre.
Gazelle Twin is the moniker of Elizabeth Bernholz, a composer, electronic producer, singer and visual artist based in the UK.
Bernholz created Gazelle Twin in 2009 as a mutant stage persona dedicated to composing, producing studio albums, soundtracks, art installations and live performances. Her aim is to openly challenge the traditional norms of the music industry, for which she feels a deep aversion.
Her constantly changing personas deform her identity and are based on powerful emotional themes with strong indie and feminist undertones.
Under her own label Bernholz has released four studio albums—The Entire City (2011), Unflesh (2014), Pastoral (2018) and Black Dog (2023)—and three soundtrack LPs for performing arts: Out of Body (2015), Kingdom Come (2017), which she presented at La Casa Encendida, and Deep England with NYX Electronic Drone Choir (2021). As a composer, her credits for film, television and video games include titles like The Walking Dead (AMC), Nocturne (Amazon/Blumhouse) and Luego Corres (Kudos/Sky). Her collaborations as a vocalist and producer also include projects with Gary Numan, Halsy (through his producers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross), Maxine Peake, Perc, Blanck Mass and Dave Clarke. At La Casa Encendida she presents the Spanish debut of her latest album Black Dog, released at the end of 2023.
