In this project Argentinian artist Jorge Macchi explores the notion of the double in the same open-ended, paradoxical style used in previous works. Doppelgänger (a German word meaning "double goer") provides the key to interpreting the ten diagrams distributed throughout the gallery and the catalogue that plays with the same idea, as it appears to be a publication featuring one of Edgar Allan Poe's best-known tales: "William Wilson".

In addition to the accounts of newsworthy events taken from the Buenos Aires daily Crónica, which form the backbone of the exhibition layout, the show includes drawings that further explore the notion of the doppelgänger, the unsettling, corporeal shadow that the figures cast in some cases and engulf in others. Macchi thus became a crouching double who replicated or inwardly reflected the story, adding new layers of formal meaning to Poe's tale.
