Mixtape: relecturas de un proceso de rescate is the result of a creating/ twisting/destroying process. It is about de-ciphering, re-composing, re-interpreting the untold. Thinking back and ahead, simultaneously remembering and imagining.

A selection of fragmented flashes, basic units of thought, vital concerns and gestures assembled like a collage where they collide and explode into an infinite number of new particles. It is a re-reading of the pauses that denote doubts, of the breathing of some living thing that is neither polished nor groomed. It is re-listening and celebrating the awkwardness and embarrassment of first tries, the frailty that gives strength to attempts. It is reflecting on what was once dismissed as suspicion, following footprints and revisiting thoughts expressed decades ago to understand a part of oneself.

Ainara LeGardon is a composer, sound experimenter and educator. As part of her contribution to the She Makes Noise festival this year, where she led the #DoItTogether workshop, she has prepared a sound performance in partnership with experimental electronic music artist and producer Xabier Erkizia, which will be available as a podcast on La Casa Encendida Radio from Sunday 24 October.
