The third session of the series will address the role of women in armed conflicts and the consolidation of peace. On 13 October 2015, under the Spanish presidency of the Security Council, the revision of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda concluded with the adoption of Resolution 2242, replacing Resolution 1325 to lay a solid, renewed, ambitious foundation for the years to come.
