Hormiggagedon [Antmageddon] is much more than a concert. It’s a sound experience where ants are the stars of the show, generating sound through their movements.
This activity aims to enhance our powers of observation by exercising an ordinary yet often-overlooked skill: listening. Ant sounds are far outside the normal range of human hearing. We will situate ourselves in a specific place, around the electronic pieces created by Agnès Pe that capture the sounds and movement made by ants through friction, and come to realise that animals—insects, in this case—also make noise.
