Retrato de un monstruo is a work of bodiless bodies, of creature-men moving through a jungle of sounds, objects and other beings that criss-cross without consensus or contract. There is a constant tension between being a body, having a body and inventing a body: between what is shown, what is concealed and what is about to appear.
