Francisco López is internationally recognised as one of the most relevant figures on the experimental music and sound art scene. In this session he invites us to step into his virtual sonic worlds, both natural and artificial, woven from countless environmental recordings made all over the world.

At The Magnetic Terrace, López will be premiering an unusual system he calls “El'Bin-Quad”, which simultaneously combines binaural sound with headphones and quadraphonic sound with speakers and subwoofers.
Francisco López (Madrid, 1964) has produced hundreds of sound installations, conducted field recording projects, and given concerts/performances in more than seventy different countries, appearing at the main international auditoriums, museums, galleries and festivals. His sound work includes live and studio collaborations, as well as projects curated and directed with over one thousand artists from across the globe. López has received five honorary mentions at the prestigious Ars Electronica Festival (Austria) and won a Qwartz Award (France) for best sound anthology, among other international distinctions.
