Remake as a comedy musical of Roger Corman's classic B-movie The Little Shop of Horrors (1960) in which an extraterrestrial plant grows to giant proportions by feeding on human blood.

After an unexpected solar eclipse, Seymour, employed at a run-down flower shop, buys a plant from a market stall. As the days pass, the plant grows and grows, attracting lots of people to the shop and injecting new life into the business. But the plant is not what it seems: it starts talking to Seymour and demanding human blood to satisfy its insatiable appetite.

The film features a stellar cast of some of the finest American comics of the 20th century, including Bill Murray, Steve Martin and John Candy.

Frank Oz (United Kingdom, 1944). An actor, director and puppeteer, Oz began his film career alongside Jim Henson, with whom he performed characters in Sesame Street and The Muppet Show and co-directed The Dark Crystal (1982). He also provided the voice and manipulation for Yoda in several Stars Wars episodes. After Little Shop of Horrors, he went on to direct some of the most popular comedies of recent decades, such as Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988), In & Out (1997), The Stepford Wives (2004), and Death at a Funeral (2007).
