Ange Halliwell is a French composer and performer whose work emerges from an unusual combination of elements that blur the boundaries between mystical tradition and sonic experimentation. Raised in a rural environment in the southwest of France, he began playing the harp self-taught at the age of twelve and, ever since, has explored how an ancestral instrument can be reconfigured within non-normative contemporary contexts.

His work draws on diverse influences such as folkloric lyricism, the bucolic landscapes of the French Pyrenees, and hyperpop melodies, shaping a musical universe that is as supernatural as it is melancholic. Within it, the physical presence of the harp engages in dialogue with ethereal electronic textures and hypnotic arpeggios. His latest album delves into a fantastical and narrative imaginary, where the instrument takes on an almost mythological character, capable of evoking dreamlike landscapes, suspended atmospheres, and a constant sense of estrangement and delicacy.

Halliwell has presented this hybrid approach in a wide range of contexts, from clubs such as The White Hotel to churches and contemporary art spaces like Palais de Tokyo, challenging expectations associated with harp performance. At La Casa Encendida, this marks the first time he adapts his concert for family audiences.
