weed420 is a Venezuelan collective working with experimental music and sonic collage that emerged online, with its members collaborating across platforms such as Facebook and Discord. Their practice brings together trap, noise, salsa and other genres through sampling and fragmented sonic spaces, weaving direct references to Venezuelan culture and to the experience of displacement.

Their most recent work, Amor de Encava, takes as its starting point the encavas—urban buses customised by their drivers, often playing mixtapes that combine merengue, reggaetón, salsa baúl and other popular music—to construct a conceptually dense album about nostalgia, loss and everyday life within the Venezuelan socio-political context. The project uses fragments of conversations, advertisements and pop memories to trace, through noise and digital collage, a sonic cartography that evokes both banality and catastrophe.

Live, weed420 expands this radical collage approach: pieces jump between rhythms and textures, processed voices, overflowing percussion and moments of hypnotic abstraction, building a narrative that is as political as it is sonic. Beyond genre, their music positions rhythm as a space of resistance and memory.

Valentina Magaletti & upsammy – Live

The joint project by upsammy and Valentina Magaletti emerges from the meeting between meticulous electronic programming and live percussion that extends the instrument beyond its traditional function. Their performance combines open structures with moments of improvisation, creating a continuous dialogue between machine and body.

After appearing at festivals such as Unsound and Le Guess Who?, they present the world of Seismo in Madrid for the first time, their collaborative album released on 10 April via the renowned PAN label.

upsammy, a Dutch producer and DJ connected to the European experimental scene, works with subtle rhythmic structures and finely detailed sonic landscapes, where the digital always feels in dialogue with the physical.

Valentina Magaletti, an Italian percussionist and composer based in London, is known for her versatility and for a practice that expands the traditional format of percussion by incorporating objects, gestures and unconventional timbres. In addition to touring with projects such as Moin and Holy Tongue, she has recently collaborated with Nídia, Shackleton and Fanny Chiarello.

Together they present an intimate and precise live performance that unfolds in real time, attentive to space and to the act of listening to one another.
