Lyra Pramuk presents a live performance in Madrid for the first time, elevating the potential of the human voice by invoking an uncommon form of devotional music.
A multidisciplinary American artist based in Berlin—vocalist, composer, producer, DJ, performer and astrologer—Lyra Pramuk fuses the limitless potential of the human voice with the magic of technology. Trained in classical music and shaped by Berlin’s club scene, her fluid and genre-defying sound, rooted in improvisation, experimental techniques and cutting-edge electronics, has been praised by media outlets as diverse as Pitchfork and The Quietus.
Her second album, Hymnal (2025), deepens the idea of music as a contemporary ritual, exploring the ecstatic origins of sacred chant while expanding the universe first introduced with Fountain (2020). Throughout her career, Pramuk has collaborated with artists such as Holly Herndon and Caterina Barbieri and has presented her work across contexts ranging from clubs to museums and festivals, including Sónar, Unsound, Rewire and Nuits Sonores.
In live performance, her shows unfold as collective rituals where listening, spirituality and care lie at the centre of the experience. In this spirit, on Saturday morning Lyra will also lead the workshop Listening Together, a space for deep listening and collective dialogue for music professionals. The session explores how we perceive, name and share sonic experience, encouraging collaboration and mutual understanding across different sensibilities.
