Electrónica en Abril presents a masterclass focused on the inner workings of an international booking agency, led by the team at Futura Artists.
The session explores how an artist’s representation is built from within: strategy, positioning, negotiation, territorial development and long-term career building.
Futura Artists is a Barcelona-based booking agency with an international reach, working with artists connected to contemporary electronic music. Their roster includes names such as John Talabot, Lena Willikens and Lucrecia Dalt.
The masterclass addresses both perspectives: that of the artist—what a project needs before seeking agency representation, what signing with an agency entails, and how to build a solid professional relationship—and that of the agent, examining what it means to found and sustain an agency today, how international networks are developed, and the structural challenges of booking in the current landscape.
The session is aimed both at artists who want to better understand how professional representation works and at those interested in starting their own agency or working in the field of booking.
